About

Summary

  • About The Website
  • Once daily occasionally images from around the world.

  • About Me
  • The Travel Guy abandoned a life as a database engineer & web app programmer at CNET Networks after realizing life is too short to sit behind a computer screen all day.

What began as a simple backpacking trip around the world, I've repurposed my travels to revolve around photography. With these photos, I hope to relate the beauty and uniqueness of foreign cultures that most won't experience first hand.

My initial plane ticket was a one-way trip from New York City to Casablanca, Morocco. Since then, I've reached the Eastern end of the Indonesian archipelago, almost entirely overland and circled the globe over 5 times.

I've been lucky to fund myself through a combination of ads from this site and photography passive income.

Travel and photography are two of my greatest passions. A budget traveling lifestyle allows me a way to pursue what interests me most in life. Without photography, I wouldn't travel. Without travel, I wouldn't photograph.

Feel free to contact me with any suggestions or photo licensing requests.

    Thanks for visiting!

  • Miscellaneous
  • I intend to keep the site updated daily. However, problems tend to arise when a website's upkeep competes with the inconveniences of budget traveling. The RSS feed or email notifications should suffice to keep you updated on newly posted photos.

Update (January 2010): After one year of maintaining this site, I've settled on an updating theme. Weekday photos will consist of real-time images of the country I'm currently traveling. Weekends, I take a break from that country to upload archived photos from the past.

Update (January 2012): I decided to take a break from daily uploads. Hopefully, I'll do some occasional uploads when my schedule allows.

Support The Site

Daily Travel Photos is supported by advertisements.

I humbly request you occasionally glance at the ads and click only if the advertisement genuinely interests you.

Clicking haphazardly on ads helps nobody in the long run.
